Top End MEPA
Using resources from the global MEPA collaboration, the Top End MEPA Course aims to equip anaesthetists to develop and practice management strategies for emergency situations in paediatric anaesthesia.
Courses are held at Palmerston Regional Hospital and are suitable for those who practice paediatric anaesthesia occasionally or frequently. They are delivered in the following three formats:
- MEPA for GP-Anaesthetists (MEPA-GPA)
- MEPA for Trainees (MEPA-T)
- MEPA for Consultants (MEPA-FC)
Candidate numbers are limited to 6 per course giving every candidate the opportunity to act as first and second responder in an in-theatre simulated paediatric anaesthesia emergency scenario. Applications from external candidates are welcome. A small fee is requested to cover catering and equipment maintenance. For information on upcoming courses, please contact:
