Cape Town

The Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital is one of the leading centres for paediatric healthcare in Africa. The high-fidelity MEPA course is run in-situ in our state-of-the-art operating suite for registrars and specialists, facilitated by experienced paediatric anaesthetists and simulation educators. The course is supported by the Paediatric Anaesthesia Community of South Africa (PACSA) and carries 7 level 1g CPD points.

Cost R2750. Reduced rates available for registrars.

This centre is also committed to outreach and support of other simulation centres in South Africa and Africa through faculty development both on site and remotely.

Faculty development:
Simulation Launchpad
The Simulation Launchpad course is run over two days in-person at UCT and is designed to ensure solid basic educational theory and practical concepts related to simulation-based education before moving into practice. The course facilitators are experienced South African simulation educators.
